Cassidy Baker, LCSW oversees the Child Welfare Training Program at the University of North Texas where she prepares social work students for a career in helping children and families involved with Child Protective Services.  Baker has over a decade of social work practice experience in the areas of child protection and victim advocacy through family violence prosecution.  In addition to teaching in the social work department, she also provides clinical social work supervision to professional licensed social workers in the community. 

Baker has received recognition for her work with families and individuals by CASA of Denton County (2004, 2009), NASW – Texoma (2013), Giving Hope, Inc. (2015) and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (2016).  Her current interests center around the intersection of child abuse and domestic violence as well as university response to sexual assault, stalking and intimate partner violence.
